The Unthinkable

We all want to go home and see family, right? But for us stationed overseas a lot of times the reason we go home is for a death.

For me, that is what exactly happened. My grandmother passed away last Thursday. I got back home on Sunday and they are holding the funeral Friday. The one good thing is the Red Cross and Navy Marine Relief Society helped me get back home. Red Cross sent a message and Navy Marine Relief Socitey gave us a no intrest loan we don't have to start paying until August and we have ten months to pay it off. Fifty dollars twice a month isn't so bad. 

I'm glad I got to come home but I'm not happy about the reason. But with the support of the community I get to say goodbye to my grandma one last time.
