In the military they have a "name" the call dependants who are "big". Dependapotamus, is a term used to describe anyone who is "big" and a dependant. Now you can be a size 4 and still be called a Dependapotamus, the term really is in te eye of the beholder.
I see this word being used on social media, in groups that are suppose to be helpful to one another. Since when did us military spouses decided to turn on each other? Over here we are the only family we have and we constantly are insulting one another.
The anger people show towards one another is sickening. The hate is a whole new level I have never seen before. I have been bullied about my weight (luckily I haven't been called a dependapotamus) and some people swear they don't bully. I have had some one tell me, "We need to go to the gym" or "we need to go run" and then when I give my reason for not running I get taunted and called a whimp. I'll go to the gym with people who make me feel good, not people who make me feel worse about myself.
The body shamming in a community that only has one another is saddening. The body shamming I see in this world isn't any better. I wish people could just love one another for what they are. Don't judge by their appearance, judge by their attitude, by their personality. STOP THE BODY SHAMMIHG!
